The process of forming a new government has started in Maharashtra. Uddhav Thackeray, who became Chief Minister on behalf of Maha Vikas Aghadi, reached Raj Bhavan with his wife on Wednesday morning and met Governor Bhagat Singh Koshyari. Uddhav Thackeray will have to prove his majority in the House by 3 December. Uddhav Thackeray is the first Chief Minister of the state, who has won this prestigious seat without contesting elections. Protem Speaker Kalidas Columbkar has administered oath to 288 newly elected MLAs. Former Maharashtra Chief Minister and senior Congress leader Ashok Chavan said, this government will run for five years, it is an auto-tempo government, but it will complete its term. Balasaheb Thorat said, Uddhav Thackeray is the Chief Minister. I do not know whether I will be the deputy CM or not, but I know enough that the Congress will get ministries. It is noteworthy that the Maha Vikas Aghadi alliance formed by joining Shiv Sena, Nationalist Congress Party (NCP) and Congress has elected Shiv Sena chief Uddhav Thackeray as the leader of the legislative party. After being elected the leader of the Maha Vikas Aghadi coalition at Trident Hotel in Mumbai, Uddhav touched Sharad Pawar’s feet there and took his blessings.
