Rahul Gandhi may soon return to the post of Congress President. This was common on the words of every worker from all over the country in the party’s ‘Save India rally’. The cutouts, posters, banners and slogans of the activists in the rally were also indicating his early presidency. Not only this, the speculation of his coronation was also boosted by the list of speakers. Very few people gave a speech at the rally held at Ramlila Maidan. Apart from the Chief Ministers of Congress-ruled states, these include Jyotiraditya Scindia, Sachin Pilot and Rajiv Satava, who are considered part of Team Rahul. Not only this, Congress General Secretary Priyanka Gandhi also started her speech at the rally saying ‘my leader Rahul Gandhi’. Apart from the rally, the campaign to hand over the command to Rahul again is gaining momentum. Some leaders and activists are tweeting heavily under the hashtag ‘My Leader RG’. This hashtag is also being tagged with the official Twitter account of the Delhi Congress.

Tension may increase in alliance
A senior party leader said, ‘We all wish that Rahul Gandhi once again takes the reins of the party in his hands. However, the final decision has to be taken by them only. In fact, within the Congress, it is gaining momentum that Rahul can lead the party in the current situation. Chhattisgarh Chief Minister Bhupesh Baghel has publicly stated that Rahul should become the party president again, as he talks openly on various issues and all party workers are with him. Rajasthan Chief Minister Ashok Gehlot has also supported Baghel’s point. Congress strategists also believe that despite resigning from the post of president, Rahul Gandhi is the face of the party in the election campaign for the state assembly elections. He has campaigned in Haryana, Maharashtra and Jharkhand. In such a situation, they should again take responsibility. Many leaders within the party are also claiming that Congress President Sonia Gandhi also wants to re-assign Rahul to the post of President. Rahul has not given any indication from his side yet.
