Pakistan umpire Aleem Dar made a record in the first test

Pakistan umpire Aleem Dar has achieved a significant achievement. Dar has become the umpire in most Test matches in the world. Dar made this record as he landed in the match between Australia and New Zealand, umpiring for the first Test. This is Dar’s 129th Test match at the umpire’s point. With this, he left behind the legendary West Indies umpire Steve Buckner.

Buckner holds the record for umpiring in 128 Tests. Dar started his career in umpiring after playing first-class cricket. He first umpired in the Test match played in 2003 between England and Bangladesh in Dhaka. Dar says that he never thought about it when he started his career. It is a great feeling. Dar said that Buckner is still my role model. After Dar and Buckner, the highest number of Test matches have been made by umpiring Rudy Cortzen of South Africa. He has officiated in 108 Test matches.
