Mumbai Shiv Sena chief Uddhav Thackeray, who took oath on December 1, will be the next chief minister of Maharashtra. Uddhav Thackeray’s name was announced at the Shiv Sena-Congress and NCP meeting. Uddhav Thackeray will take oath as Chief Minister at 5 pm on Sunday. After being elected leader, Thackeray said that he never thought that he would lead Maharashtra. He thanked Congress President Sonia Gandhi for his support.

Earlier, political events in Maharashtra changed rapidly. First Deputy Chief Minister Ajit Pawar resigned and after that Chief Minister Fadnavis also announced his resignation and went to Raj Bhavan and submitted his resignation to the Governor. After this, Shiv Sena-Congress and NCP held a meeting at Hotel Trident in Mumbai. NCP Chief Sharad Pawar, Shiv Sena Chief Uddhav Thackeray, his sons Aditya and Tejas and his wife were also present in the meeting.Apart from all this, there are also reports of two Deputy Chief Ministers in the new government. There are reports of NCP’s Jayant Patil and Congress’s Bala Saheb Thorat being appointed as Deputy Chief Ministers. On the other hand, Kalidas Kolambar Protem Speaker of BJP has been made. The newly elected MLAs will be administered oath in the special session of the assembly from 8 am tomorrow
