Sangeeta Reddy, joint managing director of Apollo Hospital Group, has taken over as the chairman of FICCI, the country’s premier industry body. She has been elected president for 2019-20. Sangeeta Reddy replaces Sandeep Somani, vice-chairman and managing director of SIL, as the chairman of FICCI. Uday Shankar, president and Star and Disney India chairman of Walt Disney Company APAC, will now be senior vice president of FICCI, while Sanjeev Mehta, chairman and managing director of Hindustan Unilever Limited (HUL), has been elected as the new vice-president of FICCI.
