India and Pakistan should take measures to reduce stress: Hassan

A US lawmaker Maggie Hasan, who recently returned to visit Pakistan-occupied Kashmir (PoK), has called for exploring ways to reduce tensions between India and Pakistan. New England MP Hassan made the appeal on Twitter after returning from his tour of PoK. She has left for India after a visit to Afghanistan and Pakistan. In Pakistan, Hasan met Prime Minister Imran Khan and Army Chief General Qamar Javed Bajwa and discussed joint efforts to combat terrorism and regional stability. “We also visited Kashmir controlled by Pakistan,” Hasan said. Amid increasing tension in Kashmir, it is important that we find ways to reduce tension on both sides. He said, I am now visiting India where I will meet the officials to discuss this situation and international trade.
