The government is ready to control skyrocketing onion prices, the government is ready to take big steps to keep the onion prices under control, which may reduce the price of onions in the coming days. In fact, onion prices have crossed Rs 120 per kg in many cities of the country. According to the news, the government is going to give Rs 300 crore to MAMC to reduce the prices. With this money, the state-run MMTC will buy onions from abroad. Consumer Affairs Minister Ram Vilas Paswan has said that there will be a meeting with Home Minister Amit Shah very soon on rising prices of onions. A meeting has already taken place before this.

Being upset, they are putting the burden of rising prices on the customers.The government is trying to get onions from Egypt, Turkey, Holland and other countries. State-run MMTC has entered into agreements to purchase onions from Egypt. A consignment of 6090 tonnes of onions from Egypt is scheduled to arrive in the country next month. Apart from this, traders have ordered onions from Afghanistan, but in spite of this, the price of onions across the country is sky high.
