Direct urea for farmers from warehouse to cooperative institutions

Cooperative Minister Dr. Govind Singh has said that fertilizer should be sent directly from the warehouse to the cooperative societies. This will save time. He said that information about schemes run by IFFCO for the welfare of farmers should be conveyed to them. He directed that information about schemes should be displayed in every marketing cooperative society. Dr. Govind Singh was addressing a seminar on “Contribution of Cooperation in Agricultural Development” held at Minto Hall. The Cooperative Minister said that farmers will have to adopt animal husbandry and allied activities along with farming so that they can earn substantial profits. He asked IFFCO to also work towards setting up cold storage and setting up fertilizer processing industry in the state.

He directed that information about schemes should be displayed in every marketing cooperative society.

Managing Director IFFCO Dr. Uday Shankar Awasthi said that Nano Urea will be delivered by IFFCO before the next Kharif. Its specialty is that the liquid form of urea equivalent to one sack urea will be found in a bottle only. It will be more effective than solid urea and it will also cost much less. He told that upon its arrival the government will not have to provide subsidy on urea either. He told that IFFCO is also making organic pesticides after organic manure, which will not be harmful to the environment. It was told in the workshop that to get rid of the problem of burning Narwai (Parali), such a de-compositor has been made, whose sprinkling will de-compose the crops and make them compost and increase the fertility of the soil. Minister Dr. Singh visited IFFCO’s exhibition of organic manure, nano urea, animal feed etc. Surendra Singh Sisodia, D.P for specific work in the field of cooperatives in the workshop.
