This budget has been demanded under the provisions of the supplementary budget for the current financial year. Out of this, 60 crore rupees have been sought for machinery, equipment and other expenses and the remaining 15 crore for revenue expenditure. Sources have said that ISRO has been assured that it will be given money, but the process has not been completed yet.

ISRO has asked for a total budget of Rs 666 crore during 2019-2020, out of which more than 11 percent has been sought for Chandrayaan-3 only. Out of 666 crores, 8.6 crores have been sought for the development of 2022 proposed human spaceflight program, 120 million small satellite launch vehicles and 120 crore launchpad. The highest demand has been for UR Rao Satellite Center and Satish Dhawan Space Center. Rs 516 crore has been demanded for both. Explain that earlier ISRO had worked on Chandrayaan and Chandrayaan-2 missions. While only one orbiter was sent to the moon in Chandrayaan, lander and rover were also sent along with the orbiter in Chandrayaan-2. ISRO’s mission was to land the lander on the lunar surface, but this part of that mission could not succeed due to crash landing. However, the orbiter is circling the moon’s orbit and doing its job properly.

Sources said that the K-4 nuclear missile, which can be launched from Submarine, is going to be tested from the east coast, provided the weather is right. This missile is designed for Arihant class nuclear submarine with a capacity to hit 3,500 km. As part of the development research trial of the Defense Research and Development Organization, it will be tested with an underwater pontoon. The final test of K-4 was tried in 2017 and there was an appeal to speed up its development process. Especially, given that the work of the country’s second nuclear submarine INS Arihant is nearing completion and it will be ready for trial soon. India has already told the seaports to prepare for the missile trials. It has sent a notice to the airman for the closure of the 3,000 km long flight route to the Indian Ocean. The first three tests of K-4 have taken place and are considered to be the real game changer, which will give the country the option of retaliating. India has an operational SLBM (K15) at INS Arihant. However, its firepower is 750 km, which blunts the counter attack edge. In addition, the effect of nuclear triad is also limited.
